Also remember, China is dig the hell out of their ground and are now the #1 miners of both gold and silver in the world. You think they are reporting to any agency or institution on how much they are mining?!
It’s a game theory, the first country to run back to gold will cause the chain reaction… those with gold will win, those without lose.

I bought an ETF that double shorts the Euro.. I concur with you on the Down fall of the Euro, it was/ is a poor design!!
What happens if the miners dividended PM coins through exchanged or number of bullion houses? Talk about a short squeeze where the shorts would have to cover by buying PMs themselfs…..

I am a little concerned about the gold prices if the central banks through out the world, including federal reserve of USA, are forced to sharply raise the interest rates.
there could come a sharp rise in inflation mainly due to the supply problems of crude oil and the problems in the middle east dont look like coming to end.
there are equal chances of cash becoming the king or become worthless and I am a little confused about it.

@LordDyhalto I believe Bob Chapman indicated same and as one of the reasons we are involved there. I would be like to know the answer to this also. If the intent is to grab the gold to suppress, will it work and for how long? I’m thinking not for long…

Word on the street is, Libya’s gold reserves are huge. Top 25, if I recall. If the US successfully deposes Ghaddafi, takes the gold, and uses it for the purpose of price suppression, how serious of a dent do you think they can make in the bull market?

Doing a search for the headline above should bring you to an article released Nov. 2010 reinforcing your information about sovereigns buying precious metals (I bet the silver is going to explode for these reasons as well because it’s industrial and monetary so any country should be scrambling for it now instead of later),
Sadam and Gadaffi had a bunch of gold and what happened? US marines will just kick in the door and take the gold. Its not those that have the gold that make the rules but those who have the US army!
